Abstract Based on the importance of preparing water for injection in the production process of infusion solutions, the working principle of thermocompression water distiller and the process flow to prepare injection water were analyzed. By comparing the erenergy consumption of thermocompression water distill and multiple effect water distiller, the results show that thermocompression water distiller has the energy-saving advantages of low energy consumption, high yield per unit, low requirements of steam, no consumption of cooling water in the production process of infusion solutions. That’s shows a tendency that thermocompression water distiller gradually replace multiple effect water distiller.
