Using ground transient electromagnetic method in yihetang area,  kangbao county,  coal exploration was carried out with obvious effect. The low resistance strata with distribution was found out, combined with the garden group overall physical property characteristics of resistivity of low resistance, the xiahuayuan area coal-bearing rock series occurrence condition was assessed. After subsequent drilling,  the geophysical exploration results was reasonable and reliable.
