Abstract In order to deal with the sludge in municipal sewage plant, sludge blends with quartz tailing, adhesive and river sediment additive are used to produce lightweight ceramisite. By using dehydrated sludge, after pulverizing, drying, sintering and other processing techniques, according to the composition of ceramic materials the proportion of sewage: quartz tailing: binder: river sediment is 4: 4: 3: 3, feeding temperature is 400℃,preheating time is 20 minutes, and sintering time is 25 minutes, the effect of sintering temperature on ceramisite performance were explored . The study shows that when the sintering temperature is 1 080 ℃, the strength of ceramsite cylinder compressive is max and the water absorption and bulk density is min.
