Abstract In order to reduce the damage of coal mining to environmentally fragile areas, the maximum surface subsidence value of the collapsed area was calculated by analyzing the topography, hydrogeology, coal seam mining and other data of the coal mine and the on-site survey, taking into account the development law of ground collapse and the actual situation of the mine, and the hazard zoning of the collapsed area according to the degree of land destruction in the collapsed area. Based on the evaluation results, the possible environmental and geological problems caused by mining were predicted, and comprehensive preventive measures for the geological and environmental protection and rehabilitation of mines were proposed in the grassland area.
