For Gubei Mine, No. 1 coal seam belongs to the "high water pressure thin water blocking layer" of limestone karst bearing water mining, hydrogeological, with complex conditions, easy to occur the bottom of the sudden water, it is necessary to take the regional directional horizontal branch bore ahead of the exploration and treatment, to avoid the bottom of the Taiyuan group limestone water threat and hidden vertical channel through the Ordovician limestone water. The application, distribution of holes and layer selection and improvement measures of directional horizontal branch hole advance detection and treatment technology in Gubei Mine area was introduced, which was a good reference for mine bottom plate detection and treatment technology and engineering practice.
